LISTEN: Disgruntled parents demand removal of principal at Fairsand

Filthy toilets at the school are some of the issues parents have been complaining about to the principal.

The School Governing Body (SGB) committee and parents at Fairsand Primary School protested outside the school premises on 22 August, demanding the removal of the principal with immediate effect.

The parents said they have been engaging the district office about the principal’s behaviour which includes late coming, threatening teachers and mismanagement of funds, among others.

Former SGB chairperson and a parent at the school, Tshepo Makubire said they submitted a report from the parents to the Department of Education regarding this matter, but they have not received any report back since February this year.

“We are no longer prepared to even engage, we want him removed. Parents also came out very clear and set the resolution that what they want is the removal of the finance lady,” added Makuribe.
