Tshivhase added, “He was then followed by an armed suspect. The armed suspect pointed his gun [at the cashier], threatened [the cashier] and demanded money. Soon after, the suspect holding the R50 note jumped over the counter and opened the till.”

Tshivhase said they took all the money from the till, cans of Red Bull and cigarettes and fled the scene in a black Honda Civic.

“The total value of the stolen items including the money amounted to R35 000. No shots were fired and the complainant was left with no injuries,” said Tshivhase.
