Good work by Hawks and Sandringham police leads to drug bust in Lombardy East

A bag of Mandrax tablets are confiscated by the Hawks and Sandringham police.

Following an extensive investigation, the Hawks along with Sandringham police officers made a successful drug bust to the value of R120 000 in Lombardy East on 12 April.

Spokesperson for Sandringham Police Station, Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo said the arrest was made on 276 Jenner Road.

A 43-year-old man was found in possession of 500g of Kat to the value of R60 000 and 1 000 tablets of Mandrax to the value of R80 0000.

The suspect was taken into custody and will appear in Hillbrow Magistrates’ Court on 20 April.
