Exhilarating charity concert to benefit Lifeline Johannesburg

The Last Night of the Prom, a charity concert to benefit Lifeline Johannesburg, will be held at the Linder Auditorium at the University of Witswatersrand on 27 and 28 May.

The concert is one of the most entertaining, fun-filled concerts performed annually with Richard Cock, the Symphony Choir of Johannesburg and the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra.

This year’s concert is subtitled, The Entertainers, to celebrate the anniversaries of music legends Scott Joplin, Paul McCartney and Dizzy Gillespie and their wonderful music with soloists Palesa Malieloa and Tatiana Thaele.

The concert is based on the famous British Last Night of the Proms held at Albert Hall in London, with a programme of popular music and light classics finishing with the traditional songs, balloons, streamers and flags waving.

The concert will be held at 7.30pm on 27 May and at 3pm on 28 May.

Limited seats are still available and tickets range from R190 to R295 per person.

Tickets can be purchased at Computicket with discounts for pensioners, children under 18, students and bookings of 10 or more.
