King David in Linksfield come out on top in Discovery Cup finals

The Discovery Cup finals saw four teams from King David Linksfield contesting for their respective trophies.

The U9 and U10 sides won their matches, with both games ending in a 1-1 draw.

The U11 King David side proved too strong for their opposition and won their match 3-0.

Spokesperson for King David Linksfield, Gaby Cohen said, “The main match of the tournament is always the U13 clash which this year featured King David Linksfield against King Edward Primary School.

“Dubbed the Clash of Kings, King David Linksfield proved far too strong for King Edward and ran out winners by four goals to nil.”

Steve Bainbridge, head of sport at King David Senior Primary Linksfield said, “All the players worked extremely hard to get to the finals and we are exceptionally proud of the performance by all the King David players.”
