No arrests yet, community to assist

Jeppe police are appealing to the community to assist them in identifying two suspects who were caught on a CCTV camera robbing a KFC foot outlet in Doornfontein.

Spokesperson for Jeppe Police Station, Captain Richard Munyai said they have been searching for the two suspects since last year.

According to Munyai, the suspects (pictured) are part of an eight-member gang who entered and robbed the outlet on the corner of End and Rocky streets.

The suspects were armed with firearms when they robbed the outlet on 12 November last year.

One of the eight suspect sought by the police in connection with a robbery the took place last year at the KFC food outlet in Doornfontein.

“There were about eight suspects and they entered the business while customers were still inside and robbed them of an undisclosed amount of cash,” said Munyai.

“It was business as usual with customers ordering their food and suddenly the suspects took out firearms and they were all over the shop jumping over the counter, pointed firearms at the tellers taking with them an undisclosed amount of cash.”

The suspects fled the scene and it is not known if they used a getaway car or fled on foot.
