Celebrating a good year

The residents of Orange Grove have a great time at their year-end braai.

The Victoria Orange Grove West Residents Association hosted a special year-end street braai on 18 November.

The street braai has become a regular feature on the association’s calendar with the focus on strengthening bonds between residents and community members.

Community development manager at Fidelity ADT, Natasha Springfield said Norwood police officers and members of the local community policing forum were also in attendance to show their support.

Springfield said, “The children were enthralled by the jumping castle and face painting sponsored by Fidelity ADT while the community members enjoyed the opportunity to socialise and relax in the spirit of neighbourliness.”

Several young local musicians added to the festivities by teaching the children how to play the djembe drum, while an informal craft market of honey and jam delights rounded off a special day.
