LIVE TWEETS: DEMAWUSA appeals to national government to ‘stop neglecting’ EMS at #FireFightersMemorial

During the memorial service for the three firefighters who lost their lives while fighting the fire at the Provincial Health Department building in the inner city of Johannesburg last week, the Democratic Municipal and Allied Workers Union of South Africa’s (DEMAWUSA) leadership took to the podium.

The leadership said the ‘firefighters know the truth’ and that while this was not the platform, they believed the truth must come out.

Demawusa went on to appeal to national government to stop neglecting Emergency Management Services (EMS) .

Following the wreath-laying ceremony for the three firefighters who lost their lives while fighting the fire at the Provincial Health Department building in the inner city of Johannesburg last week, a so-called death march led the mourners to the Ellis Park Arena on Betrams Road.
