KES donates 64 units of blood

King Edward VII boys and teachers donate blood.

 

King Edward VII School donated an impressive 64 units of blood at a South African National Blood Service (Sanbs) drive at the school.

Co-head of the school’s community outreach programme Callum Beukes said, “What a fantastic day. In total, a number of 64 units were collected for the South African National Blood Service. This was a remarkable achievement and the support from the boys was truly inspiring.”

He added that 80 boys applied to donate blood but only 64 were able to.

“It was a great eventful day filled with lots of support from the boys and we can’t wait for Sanbs to return once again.”
