The sexual assault of an 11-year-old by a security guard is currently being investigated by the Johannesburg Central Police.
A spokesperson for the police, Constable Constance Lelimo said the sexual assault occurred on 30 September.
She pointed out, “It is alleged that a mother sent her 11-year-old daughter to fetch a key from a 23-year-old security guard when she returned, her mother noticed that she was acting strange and the child told her mother that the security guard touched her on her privates.”
The mother approached the security guard about the matter and he started to apologise. The police were called and he was arrested.
